Dr. Heather Perryman is the new Director of Music at Fort Hill United Methodist Church. Heather holds a Doctorate in Music Education from Liberty University, a Master of Music from James Madison University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music from Averett College.
A native of southside Virginia, she has made her major life’s work the sharing of the gift of music in worship and music education. She has been studying organ for 26 years and piano for over 40 years, performing and competing in various competitions, festivals and religious events throughout Virginia and North Carolina.
She and her husband, David, live in Keeling, VA with their two cats, Ginny and Helena, and enjoy their peaceful mountain view as well as reading, yoga, composing and gardening.
