MUSIC MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Sanctuary Church Choir
Our 35-voice church choir performs Worship songs and music during the Service every Sunday year-round. They present a major choral work either during Advent or Holy Week and occasionally sing for retirement communities and nursing home facilities. The church choir is made up of all adults, however, youth are welcome. The sanctuary church choir rehearses Thursday nights at 7 pm.
Our group of twelve ‘English Handbell’ musicians provide worship music leadership with worship songs and music for the Sunday Service about once a month. They also enjoy playing in the community at places like retirement communities, cancer centers, and occasionally, Christmas Parades. The Celebration Ringers attend handbell festivals, workshops, and periodically present light-hearted musical programs such as “At the Movies” (April 2018.) These dedicated musicians ring intermediate level music (ability to read music necessary) and rehearse Wednesdays at 7 pm.
Retrieve your brass, woodwind or string instrument from the attic, dust it off and come join our instrumental ensemble. Our Instrumental Ensemble provides worship songs and music for the Sunday Service once a month. All ages are invited to participate. We practice Sunday morning prior to the Worship Service.
We offer a beginning level introduction to handbell music for anyone curious or interested in learning how to ring. Our short-term class is offered about once a year. Handbell music reading experience is helpful, but not necessary.
