Janet Hawkins serves as the Visitation Minister at Fort Hill United Methodist Church, a role she embraced after her retirement from being the Director of Music and Congregational Care. Janet’s educational background includes degrees from Longwood College and Southern Illinois University, complemented by further studies at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond. She was ordained as a Deacon in Full Connection in 2000.

Her career has seen her as an Instructor of Music at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton and as the Director of Music and Christian Education at Crenshaw United Methodist Church in Blackstone.
